Holy Name Cemetery was established in 1866 to meet the needs of Catholic families. By title, the cemetery honors the Most Holy Name, Jesus. By identifying the cemetery in this fashion, the church seeks to remind us of the promise of the Lord that He would always be with us and that we should always feel free to call upon His Most Holy Name as a way to remember His promise that one day we would be with Him and our beloved family members in paradise.
The Catholic cemetery tradition, by promoting prayerful memory and thanksgiving for our beloved deceased, continues to form us into the community of believers here on earth and the Communion of Saints as we enter eternal life.
Catholic Cemeteries cordially invites you to our Memorial Day Mass celebrated annually on our beautiful cemetery grounds. Invite friends and family to the celebration of Mass to pray and remember the faithful departed. Mass begins at 11:00 AM.
